Windows Movie Maker Doesn't Recognize MP4 Files? Solved

"I use movie maker to put all the little videos I take on my phone together into a movie. This has always been very easy but now I have a new phone HCT one. The phone records MP4 files and movie maker will not recognise them. I am not sure what to do!! Any help would be great!!"
