WebM is an open web media project headed up by Google, aimed at developing "a high-quality, open video format for the web that's freely available to everyone." However, it's only for HTML 5 websites to stream videos online and few portable devices and players currently support playing this kind of files. Normally, you can't directly import a WebM files to Adobe Premiere Pro for editing. Fortunately, there are two easy ways to fix the problem. Read on to learn more.

Solution 1: Download free Premiere Plugin for WebM

This is a free way to get Adobe Premiere working with WebM files. If you're editing WebM files with Premiere Pro CS6, chances are you already installed this great free WebM open movie plugin for Premiere. If not, download it from this site.
